Elizabeth (Beth) Van de Voorde
Wait, What's a Lay Consecrated Woman?
The peek into what vocation to the lay consecrated life actually is, in general and through the specific vocation of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. Plus, how I went from telling my sister I would NEVER be a consecrated woman... to hearing God's invitation and finding my greatest happiness in following his call.
Bio
Beth Van de Voorde is a lay Consecrated Woman, belonging to the Society of Apostolic Life, Regnum Christi. Hailing from a Navy family, her childhood of moving around the world seemed a pretty natural transition to her missionary life. Having professed her vows of consecration in 2006, she has studied and served in Greenville, Rhode Island, Atlanta, Georgia, and currently works in Madrid, Spain, in pastoral ministry to families and teachers at The Highlands School. She has a bachelors degree in Religious and Pastoral Studies, with a minor in philosophy, as well as masters degrees in Theology and Theological Studies. In her free time, you might find her whistling through the streets of Madrid, hiking the sierras of the Navacerrada, or digging in the garden.
